Djing and is it important to rap and hiphop

im still unsure what the hype is if i can freestyle until i saw it one time at a persons party. and it really is cool to see the turntable and everything. the thing is im not sure why rap music would need it. it does need it im just forgetting all the times rap didnt have a rapper. when it comes to djing its cool and is a sport in itself. just like rap its something you can get good at and the 2 things complement each other. im not mad as long as at the end of the day the music is good and the time is unforgettable. but hopefully things never become hate on either side. i find it hard to keep in touch with rapper i knew without making sure the beef is gone. it must be important to rap and hopefully it stays cool and i learn more about it.
